About 500 customers in San Rafael without power, 1,800 restored

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (BCN) - About 500 electric customers in San Rafael are without power tonight in an outage that initially affected nearly 2,400, a PG&E spokeswoman said.
As of 8:07 p.m., a majority of the 616 customers without power are in the areas of Robinhood Drive and Redwood Drive, spokeswoman Karli Hernandez said.
San Rafael firefighters said there were wires down in the road at Robinhood and Knight drives.
The outage began at about 7 p.m. Hernandez said crews don't know yet when the 616 customers will have power again.
The cause of the outage is under investigation.
