ANTIOCH, Calif. - There are people who care about their community in Antioch.
The police department posted photos of a man who they thought was acting a bit strange near a utility box on Monday. His car was parked on the curb and he had a blue spray bottle in his hand.
Turns out, the police said, the man, whom they only called Mike, was actually cleaning graffiti off the box. The blue spray bottle was full of cleaning solvent to wip off the red paint.
Later in the day, officers found three women cleaning up trash.
"These gestures clearly go above and beyond," the department wrote on Facebook. "We just wanted to point out yet another example of members of our community taking pride in the city, and taking the initiative to do something like this!"
