Armed man steals Xanax from Menlo Park CVS pharmacy

MENLO PARK (BCN) Police are seeking an armed robbery suspect who stole two bottles of anxiety medication at a CVS Pharmacy in Menlo Park this morning.

Officers responded to 700 El Camino Real at 9:08 a.m. on report of  a robbery.

Investigators determined that the suspect lifted his shirt to  display a handgun sitting in his waistband. An employee complied with his demands and handed over two bottles of Alprazolam, a benzodiazepine also known as Xanax.

The suspect fled on foot, heading north into a nearby parking lot.  Responding officers were unable to locate the man, however.

He's described as a white man in his 50s with a medium build,  thinning brown hair and a bald spot.

He was last seen wearing light blue denim pants, brown shoes, a long tan trench coat and a black backpack.
