BART commuters traveling on Thanksgiving can expect train service to operate on a Sunday schedule, BART officials said.

The modified schedule means trains will begin running at about 8 a.m. Thursday. Parking will be free all day at all stations.

On Friday, BART's morning service will be modified on the Pittsburg/Bay Point line. Riders on that line can expect trains to run every 10 to 15 minutes, BART officials said.

BART officials also said that the extra morning commute trains that originate at the Pleasant Hill and North Concord stations on the normal schedule will be canceled Friday.
