Car trapped in ice at Lake Erie finally freed

A car that became almost completely covered in ice and somewhat of a tourist attraction has finally been freed from its icy prison along Lake Erie. 
A crew with Lake Erie Towing and Recovery managed to get it out and tow it away.  Lenny Iwanenko told KARE 11 that it took 350 pounds of calcium flake to get the car out.  And he said it was so stuck they had to tow it out. 
He said it was the first thing like this he'd seen in 28 years.  
The owner of the car told Buffalo News he parked it by Lake Erie and went to watch sports with some friends when the car became encased in a thick layer of ice. 
Lake Erie Towing and Recovery told KARE 11 they will return the car to it's owner once they've finished cleaning it.
