ANTIOCH, Calif. (KTVU) - Antioch Police have arrested 33-year-old Ricky Barnette of Concord on suspicion he was the wrong-way driver who caused a head-on crash on Highway 4 early Friday morning.
Police say Barnette was behind the wheel of a stolen BMW in the area of East 18th Street and Cavallo Road, when officers attempted to pull him over. The passenger of the other car suffered major injuries in the crash.
Barnette and his two passengers took off running but were later spotted in the area and taken into custody by police.
