San Francisco firefighters raced to Marshall's Beach on Tuesday where they said that a man was clinging to the edge of a cliff.

The beach is located in the Presdio off the iconic Batteries to Bluffs Trail.

Just before 10 a.m., the crews were able to get the man off the side of the cliff and walk him to safety.

Marshall's Beach is a long narrow secluded beach that stretches from the Golden Gate Bridge south to North Baker Beach. Because of the seclusion below steep cliffs it is one of the best-known "clothing-optional" beaches in San Francisco, according to CaliforniaBeaches.com
