SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- Two suspects in a January fatal shooting in San Francisco's Bayview district were arrested Thursday in San Mateo, San Francisco police said today.

Brejon Jackson, 20, of San Francisco, and Nakida Lampkins, 19, of San Mateo, were arrested around 5 p.m. in the unit block of North Idaho Street, police said.

The two were booked into San Francisco County Jail. Jackson was booked on suspicion of murder, and his alleged accomplice, Lampkins, was booked on suspicion of being an accessory to the crime, according to police.

The incident occurred on Jan. 29 at 12:38 p.m. when San Francisco officers responded to the 1600 block of Armstrong Avenue in the city's Bayview district regarding a shooting.

The officers found the victim, Justin Willis, 27, of South San Francisco, on the ground with gunshot wounds. Willis was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, police said, but succumbed to his injuries.

Though an arrest has been made, investigators are asking anyone with information to contact San Francisco police at (415) 575-4444 or Text-a-Tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD.
