SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (KTVU) - The San Leandro police department and the Alameda County Sheriff's Office are both investigating more than 100 cases of vandalism on vehicles in the East Bay.
Santiago road in San Leandro is one of the neighborhoods where the problem has been reported.
At least 8 cars in the area were found with the windows shot out Wednesday morning, according to police.
A total of 50 vehicles have been struck since January in San Leandro, according to police.
One homeowner says her family’s vehicles have been hit three times.
Surveillance video shows a suspect getting out of his vehicle near their home in January.
Police describe the suspect vehicle as a dark color, 4 door sedan with chrome wheels.
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office is investigating 60 similar cases of vandalism in Castro Valley, San Lorenzo and unincorporated San Leandro.
