Driving with Donald: Driver gets ticket for going through HOV lane with Trump cut-out

Pretty entertaining but couldn't get one clever motorist out of a ticket.

A Washington state trooper slapped a solo driver with a ticket on Tuesday morning for driving through a carpool lane with a giant cut-out of Donald Trump's head attached to the passenger seat.

Trooper Greg Ulrich stopped the driver on State Route 167 near Auburn.

A ticket for violating HOV lane restrictions carries a minimum fine of $136.

In a tweet, Washington State Patrol wrote, "In case you didn't know...this doesn't qualify for HOV lanes."

Many twitter users found the tweet humorous, with political jokes and references to Monday night's debate making up most of the replies.
