SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - Crews Wednesday morning tried to pull a car out of the marsh at Lake Merced in San Francisco.
Witnesses reported seeing the car go off the road at Lake Merced Boulevard, near Lowell High School around 5 a.m.
San Francisco fire crews came out and found the car, but no one was inside, or in the area.
Crews called in one tow truck, but had to call a bigger truck to fish the vehicle out.
Neighbors say they see drivers speeding in this area all the time. One southbound lane of Lake Merced Boulevard is closed in that area, while crews work on getting out the car.
