SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. —

Actress Meg Ryan has put her San Francisco Queen Anne Victorian up for sale where she lived with her former partner, Dennis Quaid, in the 1990s.

The home has also been used as a location for a feature film and a television pilot, as well as in catalogs for Pottery Barn and Design within Reach.

Built in 1889, the Pacific Heights property has six bedrooms, 6.5 baths, six fireplaces, a three-car garage and wine storage. The home was designed by noted architect Samuel Newsom, known for some of the area’s most extravagant Queen Anne houses as well as being the designer of city halls in Oakland and Berkeley city and the Napa Valley Opera House.

The Pacific Avenue property is an elegant light-filled Queen Anne style home that enjoys views of the Bay from all of its major rooms and terraces.  Elaborate period detailing throughout provides an elegant ambience for large scale entertaining and comfortable city living indoors and out. An elegant staircase runs up the center of the home. The kitchen opens up to a living area with a backyard view, and each level features large terraces with views of the city, mountains and the water.

2602 Pacific Avenue is listed for $8,995,000.
