EPA to close Santa Rosa mobile home park due to asbestos

A mobile home park in Santa Rosa, devastate in the North Bay fires, has been red-tagged because of asbestos.

According to the Press Democrat, the Environmental Protection Agency is shutting down public access to Journey's End Mobile Home Park off Mendocino Avenue and Fountain Grove Parkway.

The newspaper says recent tests showed dangerous amounts of asbestos throughout the park.

The EPA will decide when people can go back.

There will be a meeting about the closure at 3 p.m. at the Steele Lane Community Center in Santa Rosa.
