When the 49ers announced Blaine Gabbert was starting on Sunday, fans got an earful from the 49ers unfaithful. That all changed when the clock started to wind down.

Gabbert thew a pair of second-quarter touchdown passes to tight end Garrett Celek, and the 49ers beat the Falcons, 17-16.

The win had some football fans (even 49ers fans) admitting they were wrong on Twitter. Others just rolled with it and enjoyed the win:

Some fans flat out apologized:

Others could only answer with one word. Wow:

While some 49ers fans were stunned, Falcons fans were beside themselves:

The 49ers have a bye week this week and Coach Jim Tomsula still won't say who is starting the following week against the Seahawks.
