Giants fans have a lot to be excited about this season after spending much of 2017 as cellar dwellers.

Big off season acquisitions of Andrew McCutchen and Evan Longoria has many die hard giants fans thinking of October baseball once again in San Francisco.

The season unofficially began Saturday with Giants Fanfest 2018. The free event began and 10 a.m. and ended at 3 p.m. at AT&T park.

Those who attended Fanfest could check out behind the scenes areas of AT&T Park including the Giants' dugout. There were also opportunities for autographs with Giants players including Johnny Cueto and, Evan Longoria and Buster Posey.

Our KTVU crew saw a familiar face in the crowd. We caught up with Bryan Stow, the fan who was badly injured in 2011 outside Dodger Stadium. He was there to check out his favorite team and get some autographs.

See a full list of autograph opportunities and the Fanfest guide here.

In conjunction with Fanfest, Saturday is the first day people can buy regular season, single game tickets.
