DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (KTVU)
Some of the best race car drivers in the U.S. are gearing up for what's affectionately known as the Super Bowl of NASCAR.
Drivers on Saturday took their last practice laps before Sunday's Daytona 500 in Florida.
Chase Elliott will be in the pole position at just 20-years-old.
He will drive the 24 car, made famous by racing great, Jeff Gordon.
The Vallejo native is retired from full-time racing, and will call Sunday's race as a Fox NASCAR analyst.
The starting lineup is Elliott, followed by Matt Kensenth, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Busch, and Joey Logano.
