Holiday ice rinks preparing to open around the Bay
(KTVU) - Preparations are underway for Union Square's holiday ice rink, which will open in the next few days.
There are many holiday ice rinks around the Bay Area:
- Alameda's ice rink is already open;
- San Francisco's Union Square and Embarcadero ice rinks open on Wednesday, November 2;
- San Rafael, Napa, and San Mateo's ice rinks open November 9, 19, and 11, respectively;
- Walnut Creek's opens November 11;
- San Jose and San Mateo's open on November 18.
There are also a number of permanent ice rink locations around the Bay:

- Redwood City
- Palo Alto
- Cupertino
- San Jose
- Fremont
- Oakland
- Dublin
- Vacaville
