Hospice patient gets final wish of going on a date with his wife

TORONTO, Ohio (KTVU) - A program is helping hospice patients get their wishes fulfilled before the end of their life.

Whispered Wishes has recently granted John Yeager, from Ohio, his wish of going on a last date with his wife. 

John and Joan were whisked away by limousine to enjoy a cruise.

Valley Hospice, where John is a patient, says the couple were able to have lunch on-board the Gateway Clipper Fleet together, take a stroll, and see sweeping city views.

The Whispered Wishes program runs solely on donations.

A Public Relations spokeswoman for Valley Hospice said, "There are so many misconceptions about hospice and we are excited to show people that hospice care is about living!"
