A man brandished a firearm during a robbery at a casino early this morning in the community of Pacheco, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies were dispatched around 4:45 a.m. to a reported armed robbery happening at California Grand Casino at 5988 Pacheco Blvd.

A man wearing a Halloween mask entered the 24-hour card room armed with a semi-automatic rifle, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies as well as other law enforcement personnel responded and set up a perimeter around the building but the suspect was not located during a security sweep, sheriff's officials said.

There were no injuries among employees and customers, who had been evacuated from the building.

Sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee was not immediately able to say what the man stole from the establishment.

Sheriff's officials described the suspect as a 6-foot-tall man weighing roughly 200 pounds who was wearing a black hooded jacket, dark pants and orange gloves. He is believed to have fled in a four-door Mercedes Benz.

Casino management aren't commenting on the robbery. Many people inside at the time of the incident didn't even know a crime took place.

Anyone with additional information on the case is asked to call sheriff's investigators at (925) 313-2662.
