Elderly man found dead in San Jose home

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - San Jose police launched a homicide investigation Friday morning into the death of an elderly man.

The victim was found inside a home in the 3200 block of Montecito Drive.

Police cordoned off the area around the crime scene for several hours looking for clues. 

A SWAT unit swept the Chaboya Middle School grounds in search of the suspect, but no one was located. 

Police have not released the victim's identity or a possible motive for the crime.
