Alameda County Firefighters are battling a 3-alarm fire at 20 Georgia Way in San Leandro Friday night. The fire has been contained to the building of origin, and they have prevented it from spreading. However, the fire is still active.

Officials confirmed the blaze started at a commercial building at 8:26 p.m. Fire department spokeswoman Aisha Knowles told KTVU they have a "total roof collapse" on one side of the building on the corner of East 14th Street.

No injuries have been reported. Officials said they responded to a 911 call to a fire that originated in the building's attic where there is an upholstery shop that dates back to 1958.

Several businesses, including the upholstery store, a restaurant and a clothing store suffered from the fire.

Residents on Georgia Way and E. 14th Street have been evacuated. East 14th Street is closed from Broadmoor to Davis Street.

KTVU sent a crew to the scene to gather more details.
