Man held after jumping fence at San Francisco International airport

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) -- A man was being held Wednesday under psychiatric observation after he allegedly breached a fence in the tarmac area of San Francisco International Airport, authorities said.
No injuries have been reported from the incident, which initially occurred in Terminal 1 between the Southwest and Frontier gates shortly before noon, a spokesman for the airport said.
It was not immediately clear if the incident affected airline departures and arrivals,
Authorities said the man was acting erratically and he ran from the scene when officers approached him, the spokesman said. The suspect was chased outside to a roadway before he jumped a fence in the tarmac area. Authorities said the man did not manage to make it to a runway.
It was not immediately clear if the man would be charged in connection with the incident.
