San Jose: Bomb squad gives all clear on backpack left in tree

SAN JOSE (BCN) A bomb squad has deemed a black bag left in a tree Friday to be a false alarm, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. The contents ended up being clothing. 

The sheriff's office tweeted the situation was all clear as of 7:12 p.m. 

The bag was reported at 2:14 p.m. near 70 W. Hedding St. in the area of several government buildings.

The bomb squad was not able to immediately deploy, and was en route to the location as of 4:30 p.m.
