Warriors hold audition for its first-ever 'Senior Dance Team'

When it comes to dancing, the Golden State Warriors are emphasizing that age is nothing but a number.

The team is expected to release a final roster on Monday for its first-ever "Senior Dance Team."

On Saturday more than 300 dancers gathered at the Ultimate Fieldhouse in Walnut Creek to audition for a slot on the NBA championship team's new dance group.

Only 40 people will make the cut.

To be eligible, dancers must be 55 years or older.

Among the other requirements, the Warriors said applicants "Must have a great personality and love to dance and perform."

The new Senior Dance Team is set to show off its moves at select games and will serve as ambassadors for the Warriors organization at various events during the 2018-19 NBA season.
