Las Positas College in Livermore was on lockdown briefly Wednesday morning because of some type of emergency situation, Campus Officer Antone Roberson said.

The emergency, it turned out, was a student who brought a Nerf gun to campus who had "no intent to cause harm or problems."

The one-hour lockdown was over by noon, and follows three days after the massacre in Las Vegas, which has put much of the country on edge.

Livermore police wrote on Twitter they were sent to respond t a "suspicious occurrence" after a call came in from a maintenance worker who said he saw a man carrying a "long gun with aftermarket parts."
