Lockdown lifted at Daly City high school after alleged gun sighting

Police have released students at Jefferson High School in Daly City this afternoon, after reports of an armed person at the school prompted a lockdown.

Around 3:35 p.m., police said the students were allowed to go home and that there were no reports of injuries and officers did not find any weapons on campus, located at 6996 Mission St. 

Police first reported the possible sighting at about 3 p.m. 

Police said they would continue investigating whether the reports of an armed person on campus were true.
