LAS VEGAS (KTVU) - Known as “Donut Boy,” 10-year-old Tyler Carach has been traveling around the country to various police stations thanking cops for their service. As a token of his appreciation, he’s offering them donuts.
Carach is from Bratt, Florida and his desire to pass out donuts to officers in each state began when he stopped to buy some food for four cops at his local store as a way of thanking them for what they do for the community.
The action sparked a tour that has already taken him through East Coast police departments. And this past weekend, he made it to Las Vegas.
"I'm going around thanking cops here today because I want to thank them because they risk their lives for total strangers," Carach said.
Some of the doughnuts are paid for by the Carach family, but the majority are donated.
