SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KTVU/BCN) - Santa Clara police are investigating a murder-suicide that likely happened today inside a Santa Clara home.
Police said they received the call around 12:04 p.m. from someone who walked into the residence in the 2200 block of Homestead Road and discovered two bodies with gunshot wounds.
The decedents, described as an elderly man and elderly woman, are husband and wife, Santa Clara Police Lt. Dan Moreno said.
Moreno said no suspects are outstanding and there is no threat to the public. The sequence of events is still being investigated, Moreno said.
Police say the Santa Clara County Coroners Office is working to identify the deceased and will notify next of kin when they do.
The Detective Bureau is investigating. More information will be released as it becomes available.
