DALY CITY, CA —

On Saturday they are inviting teams of 12 to sign up for four hour shifts. The "Million Meals for Haiti" is part of an ongoing relief effort. The volunteers will be packing meals consisting of rice and beans that the Salvation Army says are nutritious enough to keep people in good health until they are able to fend for themselves.

The event is Saturday from 8 am to 11 pm at the Cow Palace in Daly City. Teams of 12 can sign up for the following shifts;

-8 am to 12 pm -12 pm to 4 pm -4 pm to 8 pm -8 pm to 11 pm

People need to pre-register to attend and if they can't get a team together they have the option to register as an individual and will then be assigned to a team.
