DISCOVERY BAY —
The woman, 43-year-old Discovery Bay resident Robin Lambert, had taken her daughter and two friends inner tubing on Old River.
At about 4 p.m., Lambert allegedly miscalculated a turn and the three girls were thrown from the inner tube onto a rock levee, Lee said.
One of the girls was injured and flown to a hospital for treatment. The other two girls were not hurt, Lee said.
Sheriff's Marine Patrol officers arrested Lambert on suspicion of boating under the influence of alcohol causing injury.
The incident is the 10th boating-under-the-influence case investigated by Marine Patrol officers in Contra Costa County so far this year, Lee said.
