CA Senator Involved In Fairfield Collision Accident

FAIRFIELD —

State Sen. Carol Migden, D-San Francisco, was involved in an auto collision Friday morning on state Highway 12 in Fairfield, according to a statement from Migden's office.

Migden was reportedly on her way to meeting in Marin County when she collided with another vehicle after becoming distracted by her cell phone, spokeswoman Tracy Fairchild.

A routine Breathalyzer test was performed on Migden and she was later allowed to drive her car back to her home, the statement read.

No one from the California Highway Patrol was immediately available to discuss the incident. Whether anyone was seriously injured was not immediately available.
