TV36 and its staff are also involved with such organizations as the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Group, The Junior Leagues of San Jose and Oakland East Bay, San Jose Medical Foundation, San Jose Police Activities League, Services for Brain Injury, YMCA, and the Tech Museum of Innovation, to name a few.
Our weekly public affairs program "Q and A", offers interesting information and possible solutions to top issues facing our community. Guests representing various organizations are invited to share their expertise on topics ranging from education and health to transportation and affordable housing."Q and A" airs Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m.
Groups requesting public service announcements on the TV36 or the Community Events web page are asked to submit their information at least four weeks in advance to: Roy Avila, Community Affairs Director TV36, 2102 Commerce Drive, San Jose, CA 95103 or by FAX at 408.953.3610, or via e-mail to: Roy.Avila@kicu.com. TV36 accepts pre-produced public service messages on BETA-SP format videotape. Send PSAs for consideration to: TV36 Community Affairs, 2102 Commerce Drive San Jose, CA 95131. Not all public service messages received will be aired due to time availability, technical quality, or policy matters. However, every effort will be made to assist non-profit organizations in their efforts to create awareness. Tours of the TV36 studios are available to groups of 10 or more through the Community Affairs Department. These tours take place during normal business hours on a date and time convenient to both parties, and are approximately one-hour in duration. Tours should be booked at least four weeks in advance.
