SAN BRUNO, Calif. —

A 19-year-old San Bruno man has been arrested on suspicion of shooting at a vehicle on El Camino Real on Wednesday afternoon, a police spokesman said.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 600 block of El Camino Real at about 1:50 p.m., San Bruno police Lt. Geoff Caldwell said.

Investigators believe Alexandro Francisco Marqez was in the passenger seat of a vehicle traveling south when he fired a single shot at another southbound car, Caldwell said.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Investigators identified Marquez as the suspected shooter, and he was arrested for attempted murder later Wednesday.

Police were still trying to track down the vehicle Marquez was riding in, which witnesses said was driven by a female, Caldwell said.

The vehicle was described as a green four-door sedan, possibly a Mitsubishi.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact San Bruno police at (650) 877-8965.
