Bandit robs SF Marina District bank

SAN FRANCISCO —

A bank in San Francisco's Marina District was robbed on Monday morning, police said.

The robbery was reported at 11:27 a.m. at the Bank of America branch at 2200 Chestnut St.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, walked into the bank and handed a teller a note. He was then given an undisclosed amount of cash and walked out, police said.

The suspect remained at large this morning. Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
