VALLEJO, Calif. —
A Vallejo man allegedly pointed a gun at a driver and took his car before injuring three people in a hit-and-run in the stolen vehicle in Vallejo Friday evening, police said.
Dashawn Williams, 22, allegedly pointed a semi-automatic gun at a victim in the 800 block of Broadway Street just before 7 p.m., police said.
The victim gave up his blue 1995 Ford Mustang at gunpoint and Williams allegedly drove south on Broadway Street in the stolen car and hit two other cars at Broadway and Tennessee streets, police said.
Williams then allegedly fled on foot and ran east on Tennessee Street.
He was eventually found inside a business in the 1000 block of Tennessee Street and taken into custody without incident, police said.
After searching Williams a gun was allegedly found in his waistband, police said.
Two of the victims in the hit-and-run were taken to a trauma center with major injuries, while a third was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, police said.
Williams was booked into Solano County Jail on carjacking, felony hit-and-run, and loaded gun possession charges, police said.
He was being held Saturday on $190,000 bail, according to jail records.
