VALLEJO, Calif. —
Investigators warned Vallejo residents Thursday to be on alert for two men posing as utility workers who have staged a violent home invasion and robbed two businesses.
Vallejo police said they believe the same two men dressed as utility workers robbed a Starbucks and Jamba Juice and then committed a violent home invasion robbery at 8:34 a.m. on Wednesday.
Lt. Kevin Bartlett said officers found three residents, including a 6-year-old girl, tied up and robbed at gunpoint inside a home in the 1400 block of Farrell Street.
The suspects, wearing orange vests and hard hats, knocked on the door of the residence and were let inside when they said they were with PG&E, Bartlett said.
The suspects tied up the residents, searched the house for 20 minutes and pistol-whipped a man who lives at the home.
The suspects were described as a black man and possibly a Hispanic man in their 30s. They were seen leaving in a gold SUV similar to a Cadillac Escalade.
