A Fremont convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday morning by three suspects who have eluded police, a Fremont police detective said.

Three suspects, two armed with guns, came into the 7-Eleven at 35015 Fremont Blvd. around 1:30 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk, Detective Bill Veteran said.

The clerk gave the suspects money, which they put into a backpack before fleeing the store on foot, Veteran said.

No one was hurt in the robbery, the detective said.

The three suspects are described as two black men between 20 and 30 years old and a black male teenager, according to Veteran.

The first man was described as standing about 6 feet tall with a black bandana covering his face. The second man was approximately 5 feet tall, wearing dark clothing and a black backpack.

The teenager was described as standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black gloves, Veteran said.

One of the suspects wielded a rifle or a shotgun while the another had a handgun, Veteran said.

Police were searching for the three robbers as of this afternoon, Veteran said.
