A 31-year-old Fremont man was killed and two women were wounded late Saturday night in a shooting in an East Palo Alto neighborhood, authorities said.
East Palo Alto Police Sgt. Jeff Liu said officers responded to the 911 calls and an activation of the shoots fired audio detection system just before midnight on Kavanaugh Drive near Cesar Chavez Elementary School.
“Arriving officers found three victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds,” Liu said.
The Fremont man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two adult women -- 27-year-old and a 34-year-old -- who live in East Palo Alto were rushed to the hospital and were in stable condition.
Liu said investigators were still developing information on a suspect or suspects and a motive for the shooting.
