ALAMEDA, Calif. —

Four people were injured after police say a woman attacked members of her family with a box cutter during a Christmas party in Alameda.

Alameda police Sgt. Jeff Emmitt tells the Oakland Tribune that 42-year-old Tiffany Thomas was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and causing traumatic injury to a child.

Emmitt says the Thomas attacked two females, including a teenage girl, and a man after some kind of argument.

The injuries to Thomas and the victims were not considered life-threatening.

The attack took place at the Shinsei Gardens Apartments, and investigators were still working on figuring out what spurred the violence.

Emmitt told the paper that one of the victims was injured after trying to break up the fight.
