Man arrested for allegedly attacking 85-year-old man

MORGAN HILL —

A Morgan Hill man has been arrested on suspicion of elder abuse after police said he assaulted an 85-year-old man, police said Thursday.

Sean Mooney, 24, was taken into custody Wednesday, according to Morgan Hill police.

Police said Mooney was living with the victim, who confronted him about stealing money for narcotics.

Mooney assaulted the victim and then left their apartment, leaving the victim on the ground, police said.

The victim was transported to a hospital, where he is recovering from his injuries.
