Man fatally shot in Oakland, suspects at large

OAKLAND, Calif. —

A man was fatally shot in North Oakland Saturday night.

Police responded to reports of gunshots on the 800 block of 53rd Street near Martin Luther King Boulevard at 9:16 p.m., police said.

When police arrived they found a man on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds, investigators said.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

Police had no suspect information and there was no word if there were other victims, police said.
