SAN FRANCISCO —
A man was beaten and robbed at a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus stop in the city's Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Sunday morning, police said.
The robbery was reported at about 7:20 a.m. Sunday near Geneva Avenue and Santos Street.
The 28-year-old victim was waiting for the bus when two men approached him and tried to grab his MP3 player, according to police.
When the victim resisted, one of the suspects punched him in the face. The other took his shoulder bag and wallet, along with the MP3 player, police said.
The suspects, described as in their late teens or early 20s, fled and had not been found as of Monday.
The victim suffered swelling to his face and a cut to his leg. He was treated at the scene for his injuries, according to police.
