Man walking in Western Addition hit in arm by stray bullet

SAN FRANCISCO —

A man was shot in the arm in San Francisco's Western Addition neighborhood on Wednesday night, police said.

The shooting was reported at 9:18 p.m. in the 800 block of McAllister Street.

The 23-year-old victim was walking when he heard gunshots, then realized he had been shot in the left arm, according to police.

He went home, and a family member drove him to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
