Masked bandits storm into Sunset District home

SAN FRANCISCO —

Three masked bandits stormed into a Sunset District home early Monday, terrorizing and robbing a San Francisco family before fleeing with cash and other valuables, authorities said.

San Francisco police said the robbery took place around 2 a.m. at a home on located in the 1600 block of busy Sloat Blvd. near the San Francisco Zoo.

The owner of the home told police he was watching television when the suspects stormed into the home from a side door.

The bandits tied up the owner and his family with electrical tape and ransacked the home, taking about $500 in cash some jewelry and purses.

While shaken up, no one is the family was injured in the attack.

No description of the bandits has been released
