Mother, daughter found shot to death in Pleasanton home

PLEASANTON, Calif. —

A mother and her 13-year-old daughter were found shot to death in their home in Pleasanton Monday evening, police said.

Police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at around 6 p.m. at the home at 3532 Stacey Court.

When police arrived, they found Amy Freeman Burton, 37, dead from a gunshot wound.

Her daughter, Ainsly Freeman, was also found shot and was transported to Eden Medical Center. She later succumbed to her injuries.

No further information about the circumstances of their deaths was immediately available. Anyone with information about the shooting has been asked to call Pleasanton police at (925) 931-5100.
