OAKLAND, Calif. —

Police have released photos of a man and woman wanted in connection with a bank robbery last month in Oakland's Temescal District, and are asking for the public's help in identifying them.

At about 12:25 p.m. on Dec. 10, a man entered the Bank of the West at 4900 Telegraph Ave. He approached the teller, indicated that he had a gun and demanded money, police said.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black man between 34 and 37 years old. He is estimated to be between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, police said.

He was wearing a black beanie and a large black jacket with a light-colored shirt at the time of the robbery. He also appeared to be unshaven, and had a moustache, according to police.

No weapon was seen, police said.

Further investigation has led police to believe that a female accomplice may have assisted in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black woman in her late 20s, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. Police said she has large eyes and may have been wearing a wig.

Oakland police have released photos of both suspects and urge anyone who can help identify them to call police at (510) 238-3326 or anonymously at (855) 847-7247.

A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Oakland Police Department and Crime Stoppers to anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest in the case, police said.
