OAKLAND, Calif. —
The car of an Oakland woman who went missing last weekend has discovered two blocks from the neighborhood where she was last seen, Oakland police said Tuesdday.
Authorities said Sandra Coke, 50, was last seen at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Aileen Street by her family.
When announcing her disappearance on Monday, police said Coke was known to drive a 2007 Mini Cooper convertible with a black top and off-white body.
Police spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson said the car was found at about 7:45 p.m. Monday parked in the 800 block of 32nd Street, about 2 miles from where she was last seen.
Investigators were continuing to look for Coke and were asking for the public's help in finding her.
She is described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds, with a medium complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black-and-white shirt and dark jeans when she disappeared.
Police said Coke is healthy and has no history of going missing.
Anyone who may have seen Coke is asked to call the Police Department's missing persons unit at (510) 238-3641, Crime Stoppers of Oakland at (510) 777-8672, or the tip line at (510) 777-2805.
