OAKLAND, Calif. —

One person was clinging to life Sunday morning after being ejected from a car in a two-car collision earlier that morning in Oakland, a police officer said.

Officers responded to a report of a collision in the area of Coolidge Ave and Montana St at about 2 a.m., Officer Kevin McDonald said.

One person was ejected from a car in the wreck, McDonald said.

The person, whose age and gender was not yet released, was transported to a hospital, but was not expected to survive, McDonald said.

Three other people occupying the two cars were uninjured in the collision, he said.

McDonald said both cars were driving the speed limit and impairment was not a factor.

The collision was under investigation Sunday.
