RICHMOND, Calif. —

Police arrested a Richmond man early Wednesday morning after he shot up the inside of his own home, where there were several other people including a 5-year-old child, a police lieutenant said.

Officers were called to the home in the 500 block of South 37th St., shortly after midnight, Lt. Bisa French said.

One resident there, a 46-year-old man in a wheelchair, had shot a gun several times inside the home, she said.

He did not appear to be targeting any of the other three occupants, and no one was injured by the gunfire, French said.

Police not released the man's name as of noon Wednesday.
