BRENTWOOD, Calif. —

Brentwood police have been investigating 25 home burglaries in the past month and a recent tip led authorities Friday to an Antioch home where they made three unrelated arrests.

The story first began in Brentwood with reports of 25 home burglaries in which guns were stolen from homes. The investigation led to Antioch and a home in the 5100 block of Ebbetts Way.

"I can tell you right now there's quite a bit of evidence we still need to go through," said Brentwood police Sgt. Walter O'Grodnick. "The neighbors have felt intimidated."

Resident Barbara Cowan was one of those neighbors.

"There have been reports from neighbors that they've seen drug deals," Cowan said.

Police conducted a search warrant associated with an identity theft investigation based on a name that was revealed during the burglary investigations that led them to the Antioch home, O'Grodnick said.

In three of the cases, more than a dozen firearms were taken from the homes of law enforcement officials.

"We came up with a particular individual who in this case was a female who led us to this location," O'Grodnick said.

O'Grodnick said three people in the house were arrested for unrelated charges. Meanwhile, the search for the burglar or burglars in Brentwood continues.
